Running:
I currently run for the Merrimack Valley Striders (road racing, cross country, indoor / outdoor track). I originally started running in 1992 (indoor and outdoor track for Wakefield High School). I didn't start running cross country until my junior year (1993). I ran cross for the last 2 years of high school and then received a cross country scholarship to the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track through all 4 years of college, but after only a somewhat average college career, I decided to take some time off after graduating in the spring if 1999. That time off had lasted 7 and 1/2 years, as I did not start running again until September of 2006. Those 7 and 1/2 years I will hence refer to as 'the dark times' throughout this blog. I am currently in the process of a comeback to my original fitness level and hope to be able to achieve some PR's in distances ranging from the 800 meters to the 10K and above.
My other hobbies include (but are not limited to): Freshwater fishing | Kayaking | Hiking | Rollerhockey |
