Week 11: Casey and Pat Moulton

(Pelham, NH / Rochester Hills, MI)

The first week of the new year sees 2 of the top runners in New England and the country make their first appearance (and certainly not their last) on my Athlete of the Week... Casey and Pat Moulton won the year's first race, the 27th Hangover Classic 10K, in an impressive 31:44 (5:07s). This was no doubt just a walk in the park for these two on what was supposed to be a windy, crummy day all around. Pat is a member of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project and Casey is currently running for the Greater Lowell Road Runners. Both competed, for the first time, in this past November's U.S. Men's Olympic Team Marathon Trials in New York's Central Park. This will certainly not be their last attempt to make the team.
